We gobbled up lots of Sunday Parkway goodness two Sundays back.
D balanced biked about half of the 8 mile course (and rode the rest with me on the Dutch bike in his old baby carrier, his feet sticking out at the end–that thing came off for good after that!).
When we took a lunch break at Alberta Park, we ate Himalayan food from a food cart, and played games at this, our fave Portland Park (aka “Fireman Jesse’s park,” since a much-visited fire station is adjacent).
Here is D at the park, mid-route, trying his hand at the balance course!

Such wonderful adventures!!! Dash is going to be so well rounded and have no fear to try anything. And if he slips up, he rights himself and keeps going. What wonderful life lessons!

This will help him learn to ride a bicycle!

Amazing! Such great skill! And, where else but Portland would you find a Himalayan food cart! Really?!

Don wants to know if the Himalyan food truck is an artisinal Himalayan food truck!

You know it!
I recently heard someone remark about all things artisinal: they’re only artisinal until someone figures out how to automate making the stuff.
